Mitchell Burman founded Analytics in 1994, and as its President, provides
the strategic direction of the company. Mitchell has worked in the
design and control of manufacturing systems, and also has extensive experience
in business modeling and quantitative analysis.
A few examples of his past work include:
- Reconfiguring Hewlett-Packard’s inkjet printer line to boost production by $280 million;
- Designing production lines and scheduling for multiple manufacturing divisions of Johnson & Johnson;
- Developing a real-time scheduling program for a major component manufacturing unit of Boeing; and
- Directing a large-scale rail maintenance operations initiative with a major railroad to improve its efficiency and consistency.
Mitchell has taught Decision Modeling at MIT’s Sloan School and Operations Management at the Wharton School. While earning his Ph.D., he developed the world’s fastest model for evaluating production line throughput performance.
Mitchell enjoys swimming, tennis, and playing piano.
